Matsumoto castle is not very big. It was constructed between 1592 and 1614. It has 5 stories but from the outside, it looks af though there is only 4. There is a hidden level inside where gunpowder and other armaments were stored. The steps up were quite steep and high. ... below. We had to buy a meal ticket first that had your particular food, hand the ticket over and then wait 2 minutes for the food to be heated up in a microwave. I had fried rice for 550 yen and Joseph had his schnitzel or tonkatsu sandwich. After lunch, we made our way back to the Tunnel Trolley Bus station and through to Ogizawa.
