Another day in Vegas
Oct 22, 2008 (2 photos)

We luisteren aandachtig (natuurlijk want we willen zeker onze cadeau's krijgen). Daarna gaan...

Hotel touring in Vegas

You dont get to walk in the sky for free

well, we woke up in Arizona and didn't realize that we were on pacific time, so we thought we were up at 8am, and instead were up at 7am. that was a good thing. we hit the complimentary continentel breakfast, then hit the road and made tracks for lower altitudes and warmer climbs with our eyes on Las Vegas, but first we need to check out this sky...

Naar Las Vegas
Oct 20, 2008 (12 photos)

Vandaag gaan we onze "wheels" oppikken.

We woke up on the day of our weddinganniversary and at 10.00 we line up for the breakfast buffet in PH. This buffet has been chosen last year as the best buffet of Las Vegas and it deserved that! There's a lot of choice ...

Stuck Waiting
Apr 16, 2008

After the second take off, and the twenty-third prayer I made it safely to Macarther (or somebody's!) airport. We Waited in the terminal for Over an hour before taking the $20 cab ride to an old friends. I've been here before, so why does everything seem so brand new? Oh, wait, I'M 21!!!! No more sneeking in and out of the shadows. No more sippi...

We'll be back again and again

from A TripAdvisor User on 2002-10-29
My husband and I love the Aladdin!!! We've stayed there several times and intend to do so again in November. I like the convenience of never needing to leave the complex. The restaurants are excellent---love Tremezzo's gnocchi!! Our host is exceptionally helpful. I'd strongly recomment the Aladdin, and I do so often.

Won't be back - ever!

from A TripAdvisor User on 2002-10-22
Think twice before staying at this hotel. It is not four star by any worldly standard. Examples: the lobby is off the underground parkade, the decor is tacky, the rooms are borderline, and whoever designed the pool area should have given some thought to the other main reason people come to Vegas!

The spa is nice although it costs big bucks, the mall is good and the hotel staff are friendly, but thats not good enough for my hard earned dollars. The designers are to blame for this review.

Good luck, Mandalay and Belagio are worth the extra.

The good and the bad...

from A TripAdvisor User on 2002-10-18
This was my first trip to Vegas. I stayed in the Aladdin for 4 nights in Oct/02 and have mixed feelings about the stay.

The best thing about the hotel was the rooms and the view of the strip, especially the Bellagio. We were first put on the 6th floor and after seeing the dissappointing view of the roof and the top of the eiffel tower, we asked for a room higher up and were given one on the 35th floor....very nice!!! Computer in the room was a nice way to keep in

touch for $10/day. Other pluses were the elevators, the casino and the friendly waitresses.

One thing that was really annoying was the distance from the parking garage to the hotel lobby. You had to walk 1/2 mile around the desert passage. If you are trravellig by car to here and plan to use your car a lot while in Vegas, then this is definitely not the place to stay. Other minuses were the beds (the comforter seemed cheap) and the thin walls (pray that the person next to you doesn't decide to have a bath at 4 am.

Excellent Choice

I read everything before I go on a trip. After weeks of searching for where to stay on my family' first trip to Las Vegas, I chose the Aladdin. It was wonderful. The rooms are very clean, the casino was grand, they have free acts, the mall was huge and there were so many choices of places to eat (I recommend the food court for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you take the kids and don't want to spend a small fortune). The rooms are a little small, but request a corner room. On top of everything, I paid $69.00 per night. Valet parking is free and the service is great!!! The hotel is located across from the Bellagio (definitely see the water show at night). About two blocks from the Mirage (blocks are like New York blocks, but if you're a walker, do it; great exercise!) At the Mirage you want to see their nightly volcano eruption and head to Treasure Island after 5pm to see the great pirate show played out in the lifesize ship out front. The Aladdin isn't as popular as the other hotels and we enjoyed being away from the mob crowds of the other places! Stay at the Aladdin. You'll save money and some of the headache of too many crowds. Also, check in took me ten minutes!

Save your self and don't go here!

This is by far the worst service and most merciless hotel you will ever experience. There is no one ever in charge or no one who knows what he or she is doing. Do not ask for help at the concierge. They are unintelligent and uninformative. I asked where I could get a phone cord for my laptop and was told that Radio Shack is under a mile away. Was told I could walk there and was given a map. After being stranded in the middle of nowhere from a 2.6 mile death hike and taxi cabs are not allowed to pick you up, I got a heat stroke and spent the rest of the trip in the hotel room sick. I left there with a 250 Dr. bill and overcharged room service. There was no manager to be found who could help compensate for the ignorant of distances and knowledge that the heat is a bit too much for a non-Nevadan concierge. Isn’t a concierge supposed to be helpful and insightful? You will get the run around at this hotel and check your bill before you leave to make sure they didn’t try to charge you for something you never used in the room.

Great Place to Stay

from A TripAdvisor User on 2002-07-21
We recently visited Las Vegas and choose the Aladdin as our hotel. We truely enjoyed the hotel. We have stayed at several different hotels in Las Vegas and found this to be one of the nicest. The elevator was convenient to the room and from the strip. You don't need to worry about walking for miles to get through the casino to the room. Two large pools with a somewhat small lounge area were still great. COOL water for a hot day. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Hotel is very convenient to other hot spots. Only thing that would make it better may be a monorail to other hotels. Would DEFINITELY return!! Also, we had a great view of the strip which allowed us to watch the Bellagio water display!

Nice!!

from A TripAdvisor User on 2002-06-10
We got a good deal combining the air and hotel, so it wasn't too bad and especially when you consider Aladdin is the newest hotel on the strip.

Rooms were very lovely, bathroom big. Was quiet except when the wind blew hard and when the weekend disco scene began. Even then it really was still quiet. Elevators were fast! Casino is a little confusing - I kept getting lost! Only ate at the 24-hour Zanzibar Cafe....it was okay. Nothing special. Also ate at Starbucks. Short lines there except weekend mornings. Check-in for us was very fast, but noticed others checking-in standing in some very long lines at times. Weekend definately brought more people to the casino, so things got more crowded, so if not into crowds, go during weekday. Concierge was helpful as were the valets. Staff nice, though didn't encounter many. Didn't use the pool - it closes so early: 7pm. Could see the Bellagio fountains from our room - that was nice. Overall, I'd recommend it. Viva Las Vegas!

Was not impressed...

from A TripAdvisor User on 2002-04-25
My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Aladdin. While initially impressed - nice room, cool bathroom - this was no bargain. We paid in $249 the first night and $179 the next two nights. When we asked to check out two hours late, we were told no. Which is completely ridiculous considering the place was EMPTY! Do NOT go for the free tickets they offer - although we were actually considering buying a time share - I will never go through those people. It took 3 hours and 4 nasty sales people to get out of there. I would recommend the Italian restuarant there - Tremezzo's is fabulous. However, we will not stay at the hotel again.

A pleasant surprise....

from A TripAdvisor User on 2002-01-23
After reading several reviews of this property, my wife and I were a bit apprehensive about staying here. However since the hotel was fairly new a late Nov/2001 rate of $US45/night mid-week swayed us to try it out even though the property is supposedly in Receivership.

Our stay was from Nov. 25 to 27 and we were totally pleased. Could not find anything to complain about, only bouquets. <5 mins. to check in, requested and got a room above the 20th floor (suggested). The room was large with a super bathroom. Separate shower and "soaking" tub big enough for two. The casino is very organized and it is easy to find your way around. Excellent lounge and apres dinner music, etc.

The attached Desert Shops provided a great variety of shopping, much better that Caesar's.

We have recently stayed at both the Tropicana and NYNY and will definitely go back to the Alladin.

With these rates the Alladin is the best bargain in Vegas.

TAKE A LOOK, VERY NICE
