... place has French bakeries galore and they love beer! Has to be in the genes.

Everything is beautifully presented in the stores with even the simplest of purchases usually beautifully packaged.

The gardens redeemed Okayama, but it does not impress otherwise. So it is not somewhere you would visit unless you love gardens. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and just wish we had the space and the youth to have a large beautiful garden.

The mechanised lift lady again expressed incomprehension and took me to floor 4, leaving the doors closed while I pondered what to do. Fortunately I got back in one piece…but there were to be two return trips to survive, transferring to dryer and retrieval of – almost – dry clothes. I am not a merry mouse – M)

Hello all! Yes, today is my last day in Japan. Can you believe it has been a month and a half already?!?! I feel like I've been here for ages! Anyway I haven't done anything much today. I woke up early to start my last bit of laundry so that I could pack everything at once. Of course I had to figure out how to arrange my souvenirs and gifts so they can survive the long journey in my suitcase haha. Later I am going to eat REAL Ramen, not the instant Ramen ...
