... br> I feel really lucky because there are 4 other ALTs who have started at the same time as me (3 Americans, 1 British), and we all live between 5-10 min drive of each other and get along famously. We went out to an Izakaya last Friday night, which are like Japanese pubs/bars that are very popular for after work drinkers ;) . We socialised with a group of Japanese men, me communicating in VERY broken Japanese and ...

My reasons for embarking on entering the scary world of travel blogging are two-fold. Firstly, I'm hoping to be able to share this journey with my loved ones and, secondly, be able to offer advice to people thinking of doing something similar! As I'm a ...

... you sit down and there is a mirror in front and then get back in to soak. It really was a great experience. I met Noel back outside and we headed to Goshonoyu bath. On route we got a beer out of the vending machine!!! How cool is that. This bath wasn't as good but still a great experience. The water is ridiculously hot. I came out like a red tomato. The women who takes your wooden shoes before you enter the bath had such a good memory. All the ...
