... first took some pictures with my camera before taking one with hers, and that one she wanted to sell us. But well, I already had some pictures, so we did not buy it. The village was so so interesting. There were many old buildings and the whole picture of this village was very nice, but the hutts looked quite the same to us. So we wandered around the village and then left to get something to eat. I was soooooo tired that we had lunch at a restaurat in front of ...

I met Koji, whilst having dinner in a restaurant. We decided to do a road trip to Kamikochi and the sightseeing spots around the highlands.

Had an amazing day,the weather was playing along and travelling in a car for a change felt just like heaven :)

We finished the day off, by soaking in an outdoor hot spring. What more can you want!?! :)

I will notice that I really like rice fields (I you haven't already noticed that from pictures earlier this trip) and I felt in love with Japanese temples, houses and gardens. I hope I don't bore you with my pictues ...

Another great spot in this little city is Nakamachi Street, a famous neighbourhood with all white buildings. These structures showcase Japanese architecture from the past, restored to the former glory and glaring white against the bright blue sky. It is a skinny little street on the banks of the small river and is easy to find for even the worst of navigators (me), as it is just en route to the castle. Nakamachi Street is filled with tourist ...
