Monday was our last day in Japan. We were flying out till later that evening so we had the morning in town then caught the bus and shinkansen back to Tokyo. We dropped our bags off at Tokyo station and walked around Ueno and Ginza before we caught the Narita express out to the airport and onto our flight home. It had been a great 10 day holiday – we can’t wait to come ...

We certainly didnt need out thermals this trip! The evening meal was at the ...

As an architect the buildings must have been fascinating and it was great to hear about travels around the ...

... occasion. I think he was worried in advance, but Dad has tried everything and is starting to look pretty good with those chopsticks. Hotel is 400 years old and built over a natural hot spring (which is also a draw for the monkeys). You can see that the rooms are very traditional. No beds here -- futons are set up during ...

... breakfast at the hotel. After a very fun day of snowbording we went back to the hotel and chilled out for a bit. That night we couldn't get any food for dinner because you have to make a reservation the day before so we just found a pub and had pizza there. Day 2 Day 2 of snow boarding was lots of fun. We went down through our favourite track called the Skyline. The skyline was full of powder snow and all 4 of us were doing gymnastics on the snow boards. The powder was ...
