... as we pushed it through the mud and water. Pushing anything through mud is not easy and after half a paddy (1 out of 5) we were sweating bullets. It took all morning to successfully till 4 out of 5 paddies and then hand weed the 5th due to some uneven rows and enormous weeds. Hand weeding involves bending over at the waist to pull the weeds out by their roots and making sure not to step on the growing rice or fall over face first into the paddy...we may or may not ...

... off our lists of new foods to try. All in all a delicious and filling meal and one that I recommend everyone try either in Japan itself or in some of the more sushi friendly cities of the US. And good luck with the uni!

P.S. We neglected to bring our camera with us so I have pirated a picture off the internet to give everyone an idea of what the restaurant looked like. It was one of the bigger chains I think and not all of these type of restaurants look the same.
