... it and I respect that. But in the spirit of being in a place where everyone is walking around in yukata(hotel issued bathrobes), I ambled around the shops when it rained and hiked up to the castle when it was sunny, had a late breakfast and actually read my book! On a side note, I have to say I just love the trains here. You can ...

    Morning Diary

Dear morning diary, This is the idiot thing ever! This morning when Pat and I put our luggage on the wall, the door locked! Oh no! Our backpacks are still their! And our room key! Noooo!! I was like banging on the door when Nana heard the noise. She's like "Can't you just shut up and be quiet?!". How rude! Stupid idiot! Pat has to go down the elevator and tell them what happened. I went to Nana and Gigi's room. I was gonna ...

Can I please ...

... overhead except Yoshies and Anna's. They are taking up 2 seats but so far not every seat is taken so it's ok. We are going to pick up more passengers so we will see. Beautiful ride through farmlands now. We make it to Ozu with no baggage issues. Hide greets us. He rented this huge Toyota Van that holds 10 people plus our luggage. He takes us to our Nihoji (ohaka) (family tombstones). It is very nice. We pour water over the stones. We see all ...

Matsuyama fun while Chris sits at a conference

... something I'll miss about Japan.
I had a few hours left in the afternoon before meeting with Chris and other conference attendees for dinner. I took the trolley to grab a tourist map and then strolled through the covered shopping area. It never ceases to amaze me at the amount of people doing what seems like trivial tasks. At the tourist information booth at the train station there were 3 men sitting in a space smaller than a side walk vender's cart. I can't imagine ...
