      ... playing a familiar tune, I look over and the head chef comes out and starts singing happy birthday with the harp player THEN all the other people staying and working at the hotel joined in all singing happy birthday to me. They then presented me with a hand made ornament and wished me another happy birthday. I got up and bowed to all the staff thanking all of them.       ... yet they still have February and March to get through. The forecast for the alps today was rain so it turned out to be a perfect day to leave after a bluebird day on our final day.       ... was served with buckwheat tea. With sign language the sauce was changed out so that the meal truly was gluten free. Now in Canada, you would suspect the toilets in a cafe like this, but one of the braver, or more desperate of us reported back about the pristine toilet with cedar flooring, heated seat and flight instrument panel of washings, heatings and flushings, soap and fluffy towel.       ... enough to have the classic siting of the kamoshika on a knoll staring at us. As it was getting warmer, no time was wasted getting out of the steep areas.
