      ... for sledging.

Back to the hotel for a quick pack up and then the long journey back to Tokyo airport with bus, bus, train, train, bus. All a lot of fun in Japan and that probably sums up Japan. The people are the most polite and respectful I’ve ever met. Everything is very different but really interesting and it’s definitely a country that I’d like to come back to. The skiing was great and although ...

... green run that zig zagged through the woods and the kids and sinead loved it. I decided to do the middle section of the Olympic downhill course and it was stunning – perfect snow, empty piste, steep as hell – just point down and hope for the best!

The morning started well with another full breakfast. We decided to get to the slopes early to do a couple of runs on the nursery slopes. We got on the chairlift but at the top Isabel had a full on melt down – I'm surprised there was any snow left afterwards. She’s amazing and so determined but when things don’t go well and ...

Breakfast was a fine affair and Thomas was in heaven when we realized that the hotel had one bottle of HP sauce! We got down to Hakuba and left the kids with the ski school. Thomas was hilarious, saying he had done it before and could go up to the top of the mountain! Isabel was quieter but confident.

We then headed up the mountains and enjoyed some great skiing…Sinead was calm and cool ...
