We left on the Ishizuchi 3 Limited Express train at 8.45am bound for Iyo-Saijo at 10.18am. It is a distance of about 110Km on the northern coast of Shikoku. We could see the bridge that we were on yesterday as well as the Seto Inland Sea. It was slightly drizzly but not enough to require a raincoat. Besides, it was only a 20 minute walk to the station and we would be on the train after that. It fined up once we reached Iyo-Saijo.

Of great fun are the names. Photos today will show you the fun cross section of possibilities. Threads and Grub The shopping strip was quirky. We met a ladies clothes ...

... we also ordered the gyoza (dumplings, because we like them) and the fried rice (because we haven't had any Japanese fried rice so far). Suffice to say there was barely enough room on the counter for all our dishes, and I think we were the entertainment of the day for staff and customers alike. Greedy foreigners. On the way back from the art gallery I spotted this fabulous marimekko back pack. Some of you know I am obsessed with marimekko, especially the pink ...

    Okayama

... home earlier because she was feeling unwell. I still stayed in Okayama and walked around but it isn't as nice on your own as when you're together. Still I had bought a dinner somewhere to take out and I went to the castle. Near the castle you have some benches to sit on and so I had a dinner with nice view of the castle being lit up (for some reason with green light..) But even I got unwell because, probably, I had been in the sun for so long. It was still a nice day though.
