      Today was a bit of a spare day, due to Nara being a shorter trip than planned, so I decided to head to Okayama which is on the route towards my next hostels destination of Hiroshima. Similarly to Himeji, Okayama has a castle and a famous garden(one of the top 3 in all of Japan) so I spent the late morning and early afternoon pottering around these sights.       ... circle started in Hiroshima, and be back in this city.
      I will probably go back to the same hostel, as I liked it very much. Over there, I may have to find a bike shop, after all this kilometres, the chain cries to be replaced.

      ... the smallest of the train museums that we had been to. There was the original bullet train from 1964. It had done over 10 million kilometres which is equivalent to circling the earth about 24 times. There was another "normal" local train there as well as a steam engine train. This was nothing compared with the other museums which had 15 trains or more on their premises.

      ... to stay at the museum to take more photos of some "eagles" whereas the rest of us walked down to the yellow pumpkin by the beach. He could catch the bus from the museum at 4pm and there was another bus at the yellow pumpkin structure at 4.15pm.

      We made it back to the port in 15 minutes so it would obviously take a lot longer than 35 minutes to walk that same distance. Lynne reckons that we had walked at least 11,000 steps ...

      ... station (of course) and then walked slowly down to the other end of the park. The map gave the impression that it this might take all
      day, but fortunately it was a large scale map and it ony took us a couple of hours. On the rather large lake there was a 30min boat trip, Just two to a boat. It would have been lovely but we just too late to take the last boat of the day.
