... Our Israeli friend strolled with us. A river flows through Takayama and it was salmon spawning season. Quite a sight to see the salmon struggling tho swim upstream while some, having completed their task of nature, were dying in front of us. I will try to post some pics later of the salmon. After renting a car and driving on the left side of the road for two hours, we arrived in Wajima,toward the tip of the Noto Penninsula. Wajima is a seaside town full of fishing boats, children on bicycles, and little shops selling lacquerware. I spotted a beautiful platter but the price was 900,000 Yen after dividing that by 100 I decided to leave it there for the next guy.
