    ... large one and a smaller one with metal arm rests and jets. There was also a steam room decorated with tiny blue tiles. Upstairs was a series of saunas and a fantastic outdoor bath with views of the river (and the shell garage!). Kim landed the jackpot on the ladies side though, as Satonoyu has a penguin sauna (one that is ice cold). Just the ticket after a scorchingly hot bath!     ... available from even the most humble of eateries and at 900 yen (£5) the price was pretty good too! The train to Kinosaki was largely uneventful and we arrived about 2pm. From the station, we walked through the sleepy little town to our Ryokan.     ... to try and cover your modesty then walk in in the nude. The place is quite steamy. You clean yourself by throwing some water over yourself. Then hop in. It's absolutely boiling hot!! I loved every minute of it. Would have been good to have someone to talk too. I was the only westerner in I think it was Chinese and Japanese tourists mainly. You cannot put your washing cloth in the water and you have to get out and scrub on one of the shower ...
