Mt. Fuji
... a map from tourist information, in the mood for walking we walked around one of the bigger lakes at the bottom of Mt Fuji and up towards the mountain itself. We were both surprised that the area was like a little town, we thought we'd be walking on mud tracks but if we weren't on the public footpath we were on the road. We stopped for our packed lunch (yes, we really were like serious ramblers for the day) overlooking the ...
My longest blog in ths trip so far
... 2-3 hrs there to use there beautiful ladies only rest area (no additional charge). The restaurant looks nice too, not sure about the taste. The spa area, ladies only, looks very professional, however the price seems to be higher than the Canadians' hotel spa. I do recommend this onzen. BTW, no pictures were taken, except at the entrance of the building.
Had a burger with onion at the Fuji train station while waiting for our train, MOS Burger, it was ...

The shrine itself was constructed in dedication to Hachiman, the Shinto god who served as the clan deity of the Minamoto family. It takes 62 steps up to get to the shrine. Our guide said we could do it if we wanted but ...
Tokyo to Izu Oshima
... You could buy almost anything including cigarettes and beer and an isotonic drink named Pocari Sweat. In Tokyo we saw cigarette vending machines and soft drinks machines, but no beer ones. We wondered if they had been banned. However much to Kevin's delight, Joan identified a beer machine which Kevin had to test.
Back at the inn, we had to negotiate all the rules about what footwear one has to use. Take outdoor ...
Enoshima
... Again, it's pretty close from our place. I always see it when I drive pass the beach coast and I thought I knew about Enoshima but it wasn't true. Aki showed up at our place with lots of yummy food such as ice cream, mini-pies, boxed small cakes. (* Remember, it's her BD.) We had some quick tea and headed to a fresh seafood Japanese restaurant it's called Eboshi. Nick and I had Sashimi lunch sets, Aki had a baked tuna head lunch ...
