... nod off for a bit, which I did. After all, I did wake up at 4.45am this morning. I had a coffee on the train but it did not seem to have had much effect. This is the first time I have had undiluted coffee. I had been building up to this as I have been having the odd diluted cup of coffee over breakfast, with lots of milk and sugar. I haven't had that much coffee since Uni days.

... went to Sapporo Beer Museum, Sapporo was the country's first brewery founded in 1876. We were unable to understand the Japanese tour so we went off on our own and headed right to the beer. Each of us got a glass to try and we did some shopping. It started to snow in Sapporo our next stop on the tour was the Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill. ... fuel to the utmost, but had ground speeds upwards of 170 knots. This was so much better than expected. My headache started to subside ;-)

Flying at this low an altitude we quickly lost radio contact. We were given satellite phone numbers for Tokyo Control, but we found the connection so inaudible that it was of little use. Much more effective was using airliners way up above to conduct relays for us. First a Korean Air airliner ...

Get back in and message Alex and it turns out he told me the wrong day. Could only have happened to me. Anyway gets to Saturday night, same picture as Friday except now i'm just wearing a normal shirt as i wore my best one the night before. Did you know you should wash the rice a lot, let it sit for 30 minutes in the water before starting to cook it, let it steam for 10 minutes after the timer goes off and then gently fold the bottom rice over the top rice? She wanted to know why I laughed at every step, so I had to explain that my current rice making process was nothing like this.
