... was a line of 50 robots - they looked like strange birds. This was followed by the assembly workshop which was a mix of people & robots but mostly people. They have a mixed assembly line so make to order as needed. We learnt all about their philosophy and just in time & jidoku method. Everyone is invited to contribute improvement ideas and they showed a few of them in action. It was a shame not to see the whole process ...

Sat next to a guy on the ltd express to Nagoya and he noticed how wet I was and asked "Suzuka"? We laughed a little and tried to have a conversation. Made it to the track and wandered about looking at the souvenir stands, same old stuff as you get at Melbourne. Redbull stand 4 deep in a queue, catherham: empty.
