... at the Hakone hotel. An exceptional western style buffet.
A short walk through a planted cedar forest over 150 years old to the pier for a boat ride on the lake. Would have been really gorgeous if the sun was out.
Next stop was the sculpture park. An outdoor display of western and Japanese scuptures which was diverse and vibrant. The star attraction of the outdoor museum is a Picasso gallery with the largest collection of works of ...

This is apparently THE spot from where to view Mount Fuji, when he is visible that is. There is also a large rock with a story carved in it in Japanese characters and there is soft music playing from somewhere near that stone. Too bad we can't ...

... is a Japanese one up in he mountain. There is a natural hot spring bath on the roof and the water is piping hot. Far too hot to sit for long. We had a Japanese meal again but this time it was lots of fish and not just vegetarian like the temple we stayed in. It all came in loads of different dishes and seemed never ending. The Japanese have 3 springs a day when they come here. I guess it's their way of unwinding before the Tokyo ...
