After breakfast, Visit to Matsumoto Castle, is unique for having both a secondary donjon and a turret adjoined to its main keep. The castle structures, in combination with their characteristic black wainscoting, give off an air of grandeur and poise. Then transfer to Daio Wasabi Farm, is one of Japan's largest wasabi farm and popular tourist destination. The farm has multiple large fields with a meticulously maintained ...

I was able to eat a lot of it but couldn't manage the mushrooms or the pickled brains, I really enjoyed the pork cooked in broth and sashimi though. ... each and we had about 5 taxis to accommodate 21 people.

We caught the train to Matsumoto and then changed to go to Nagano. All this was on the local train and not the Shinkansen. By the time we reached the hotel, it was 8.15pm. We couldn't be bothered with dinner by that point and basically did the laundry and went to bed.

The next morning, we are due to go back to Matsumoto again to see the castle there.

... hard). The highlight was a cable car ride up a mountain to a place where the view was fantastic and there was a hot, hotspring that we could soak our feet in until they turned bright red!

They left us at the home of missionaries who took care of us till we got back on the bullet train and headed for Nagano to visit more missionaries, where we have seen some of their work and lives and enjoyed another visit to another onsen (hot springs bath).
