... The sheet music the recreated themselves so that it was color coded to the bells so that you knew which bell to play when! I wish all sight reading was that easy.
After bells it was dessert time. We had this cornstarch/water/sugar paste covered in different items like red beans, sesame seeds, and what looked like grounded gramcrackers. It was another chewy texture and semi sweet.

... off at the wrong stop. Thankfully, the bus pulled up next to me and signaled me to get back on the bus and 'matte' (wait). When I got off the bus for the second time, I had a better sense of where I was. I walked a few blocks back to my homestay where I met my host mother waving to me in the street in her house pajamas. She was so relieved to see I had made it back.

... 2 pieces of nigiri (Fish on a ball of rice) and none of those fancy rolls like you get in the US. All plates were 108 yen or $1.08 US dollars. Also the fish was 'held in place' by a bit of wasabi. Sometimes the wasabi was too heavy and burned. Mr. Hoya actually had a coughing fit and watery eyes and nose from the intensity of one piece.
