Varmasti ennätyskävelyt tuli tänään vedettyä ja kiivettiinpä vielä kaiken huipuksi toinenkin kerta ylös Shiroyamalle katsomaan auringonlaskua. Hienoa, hienoa! Nyt alkoi kyllä jalat olla jo niin totaalisen lopussa, ettei auttanut muu kuin laahustaa pimeän tultua kaupan kautta hotellille kylpyyn. Olisi tietysti hauska aina käydä testaamassa hienoja paikallisia ruokia ja ravintoloita, mutta tällä meidän matkustusmäärällä ei mikään budjetti riittäisi siihen hommaan ...

... verran hyvin, ettei tarvitse niiden kanssa enää arpoa.

Kagoshimaan saavuttiin viimein klo19 maissa ja päätettiin kylmästi kävellä hotellille, koska sinne oli ainoastaan kilometrin verran matkaa. Varasin pari päivää sitten netistä AreaOne Kagoshima hotellin (jotain 60€/yö), jonne löydettiin nyt ihan helposti perille ja olipa mahtavan avuliaat ihmiset tiskillä. Siis aivan uskomatonta!

Äsken käytiin vielä pyörähtämässä kaupungilla ja hakemassa kaupasta lunch ...

I also got confused by which of two possible symbols on the map was the hotel's location. The landmarks shown on the map just weren't appearing where they were supposed to be. I got more frustrated and more disoriented, and found myself at noon in a nightclub district ...

Also heute gings wieder mit den Shinkansen (hier ist plural gemeint... aber Shinkansens gibts ja nicht!) Richtung ganz süden, nachdem wir nur etwa 1 1/2 Std. geschlafen haben. Nach Sendai 川内 in der Nähe von Satsumasendai. Bin drauf gekommen das ich im Flugzeug scheinbar meine Handy Earphones vergessen habe, deshalb bin ich froh das ich meine PSP auch mitgenommen hab. Also musik hören und alles vorbeirauschen lassen... wobei wir zum schluss mehr in tunnel gefahren sind ...

... drink Mitake shochu. Everywhere we went did not have it but fortunately on the last day, the first restaurant we went to in Yakushima had it so we reserved it. Basically, it is mackerel sashimi. What makes it unique, is that the fisherman catch it, break the neck and within an hour it's on your table. I am not a fan of mackerel sashimi but since it's a specialty I wanted to try it.
