    ... The Japanese are absolutely lovely, cannot say enough about how welcoming and helpful they are. We grazed on local specialties including our new addiction the Oyari bun and of course had to have chestnut ice cream though it was pretty mild in flavour. We had no idea of what was happening, but it was a lovely drive first past apple and grape orchards and then on very narrow steep roads to the ski fields including Nozowan.     ... or decline and the smoothness of the roads are among the many factors that contribute to your overall sensations when you're on the road.
