... a couple birthdays. Happy birthday Pedro and Justin!!

Thank Mrs. Chu for organising a terrific trip! We wish we could stay longer its been such a great trip and learning to ski and snowboard has been so much fun. Next year we want to stay one more day pleasssse!!!!

... to the top the views were absolutely spectacular. It felt similar to what I imagine being on top of the world feels like, and I even had vertigo for a little while despite knowing that my feet were firmly planted on the ground. There was a tiny little hut on the very peak of the mountain with some dramatic windswept ice stuck to the walls and the roof. ... of avalanche, and this is all in the name of prevention. There was an avalanche in the zone we skied in a few years ago which unfortunately caused several fatalities. To be honest, skiing the Avalanche Zone wasn't terribly different from skiing the rest of the backcountry, so hopefully that worries you less Mum and Dad!  I may have also had a run-in with a tree branch at one point.
