... first imagined......our toes fingers and toes had gone numb, but we ventured forth.... then one of my snow shows broke....this was not going to be fun :-/......in an effort to explain my predicament i stepped forward and sunk past my waist....Ok so we need to go back....I McGuyvered the shiz-nizel out of my snow shoe as we ventured straight down through the snowdrift toward the chairlift...not realising as neither of us had been skiing that chairlifts go ...

The highlight is definitely the sake testing. The non premium sake tasting Is free. The few premium sake they do charge a nominal fee. For 150 yen, I tasted a full to the brim cup of the most expensive premium sake. Which we eventually bought. Think it was about 5940 yen. ... 30-45 min of hiking. But it was all in the name of getting the most our of our Kurodake experience, so there was no question about hiking from the 5th station.

... of my life. It was 3000 yen for 4 hours for 2 person. At least the bicycles were working well. And the pickup and return is the same kiosk, convenient located at the ferry terminal.

From there we headed for the Hime Pond. Took what we have concluded was a wrong turn and had to push the bike up for about 750m of extremely steep slope. The Hime Pond was a huge letdown. We knew it was man made. ...
