    Snow Monkeys!

    ... presented breakfasts we have ever had (food tasted great as well!). We really didn’t want to leave after being pampered so throughly during our stay.

    Next we caught the brand new (just started operation on March 14th!) Hokuriku Shinkansen to Nagano. Being a new route, even the locals were taking pictures in front of the new train prior to boarding.

    ... bus will leave at 1.15pm which it does. We arrive into Nagano at exactly 3.50pm, the time that is stated in the timetable. Talk about punctual service.
    We walk the 500 metres to our hotel for the next 4 days. No more airbnb place for a while as there dont seem to be many this side, west side of the island. The hotel is very nice, and our room is huge by japanese standards. We even have real beds, unlike tokyo where we slept on ...

    Back to the hotel for a quick pack up and then the long journey back to Tokyo airport with bus, bus, train, train, bus. All a lot of fun in Japan and that probably sums up Japan. The people are the most polite and respectful I’ve ever met. Everything is very different but really interesting and it’s definitely a country that I’d like to come back to.     We pushed it a little bit and the last run down and Isabel ran out of fuel and melted down. To be fair she had done unbelievably well and was only her 4th day skiing and she was actually leading us all through the forest tracks but when she goes, she erupts!

    ... a good Japanese lunch and then back off with just us to the top of the mountain and after a few runs, again back down the mountain. Thomas found that he loves moguls so on the really steep slope at the bottom he literally pointed his skis straight down and bounced over each mogul. Absolutely no idea how he stayed up but he now wants to only ski moguls. Isabel took a more leisurely route ...
