... there for a minute and it didn't stop!! So then, I plugged the hole with my finger, and started pressing buttons... I must've hit the right one cause it stopped eventually... I was covered head to toe in Korean toilet water... I'm talking water dripping from my hair, and me slipping in my flip flops... :)
The reason these toilets have this fancy function is because Koreans don't flush toilet paper ...
... into the inner valley, the centrepiece of this whole vision, the focus of every prayer. Here at the centre of the centre of the valley is Samseong-gung, the Palace of the Three Sages, the focus of all these prayer, all this yearning and hoping and striving. The three sages venerated in the simple, open shrine are Hwanin, Hwanung and Dangun: Hwanin the lord of Heaven; Hwanung his son, who came to earth and married the bear-woman; Dangun their ...
Cheonghakdong, Korea Rep. philiadGot to the port town of Busan where we were to take the boat to Japan. Met our host for the next few days who showed us around town and later took us out for a Korean barbecue restaurant. After we went to a bar to prepare us for the karaoke madness afterwards. It was great fun. I sang a Sting number and Matilda was on the Abba, naturally.
Busan, Korea Rep. chris.curtis... koreaiakból (tisztelet a kivételnek). Másnap délben csörög a szobatelefon. Nő az irod ...
Busan, Korea Rep. zelfike... thing. The French bakery next door was nice enough to give me one small napkin. When I arrived back at the handicap bathroom the door was closed. I press the large button next to the four foot wide steel door and it opened. As I step inside I looked for a similar button to close the door. Instead I found three random metal levers and a wooden handle hanging from a string from the ceiling (with a red flag attached to it). I push one of the levers ...
Busan, Korea Rep. philnshell... your whiteness and undeniable novelty. E = Effort X = Her interest level in you. Y = Your chances of holding her attention for more than 2 minutes. Then: As A increases, B decreases and as C increases, B decreases even further However: As C increases so does X and Y But: As D increases, and it does at an alarming rate, Y drops considerably. This is one of MANY reasons I've always hated math. Life is complicated enough as is.

Shouldn't a someone adept at reading the future be able to know who's calling without such technologies? Hell, if I was a fortune teller I'd answer the phone "I knew you'd call!" Maybe I should look into the job... 30 dollars for a half-hour of ******** work, and I'd be using my "lucky mouth" in a creative/************.
Changwon, Korea Rep. fortuneandgloryToday marks the first and last time I would ever attempt to get a haircut in a foreign country without a translator or good plan. The end result was somewhere inbetween Forrest Gump, military, and Don Mattingly on the Simpsons. It's pretty bad when my students, who mostly have some form of BOWL-CUT, laugh at me. I don't know what's most upsetting: the ...

And that the pop music which follows me day and even night is ok because I grew up with the ghostbusters and the trance version of it is 'pretty good'. But when I get the ten millionth dirty look from a male driver on my bike, and another one of my students tells me she wants to get married because she is lazy, and wants to sleep I want to scream, yell and ...
Changwon, Korea Rep. matt_and_julesAfter having lunch with Matt, Julia, and Jay. I got a quick tour of the hagwon where I'd be working and was then put up in the "Toto's Hotel" to sleep off some jet lag, as my apartment didn't have furniture yet. No doubt, the joke was lost on everyone else, but the hotel's name couldn't have been more perfect as I was definitely not in Kansas anymore. On my second day in Korea, I was thrown to the lions - set right to work without any ...
