Our first walk takes us down on to Horseshoe beach which is delightful for small kids and grandpops as the waves are very small. The beach is protected from the wind today and we enjoy the morning building sand castles, digging sand ponds and swimming in the sea. It is only about 50m from the unit so we don't take long to get back for lunch.

Had an awesome afternoon dive in a tiny motorboat with about ten people. Fish cave is a really great dive - we go down to 24m , then ascend through pitch black chutes through the cave to about 14m on the opposite side. Awaiting us are plenty of sinister-looking, but harmless nurse sharks. We settled on the cave floor and watched these sleek beas...

Went diving with Fish Rock Dive Centre in South West Rocks. Marc had met the owner when he did his instructor exams. After a good night sleep in the adjoining motel we headed out to sea in a little tin boat.
