... only famous, for the alleged crash of a UFO close by in 1947. We visited the UFO museum which was a little disappointing and did not see any little green, grey or brown men with our own eyes. We did however see what may have been two UFOs hovering close to our hotel shortly before we went to the local cinema to see the Imitation Game starring Benedict Cummerbatch. What a good film, probably the highlight of the stay in Roswell!

... a blind date! That’s whole different funny story.

Now back to the journey. Driving through New Mexico is pretty much an adventure in the desert except this desert has hills and mountains that look pretty cool. There's even a spot I had to stop at and take a picture because it reminded me so much of the scene in Forest Gump where he is running down this long road and just stops and looks back. The road just seems to go on forever. The ...

... stores near by. I finally found some new "tennis" shoes! I've been looking for a new pair for over 4 months. Then we went to WalMart to pick up something we'd been wanting, and thus the picture that accompanies this entry.

Tomorrow, we drive further south to Carlsbad Caverns, and afterwards we continue eastward on I-20 into Texas.
