... was trying to ring ahead for hotels but no signal for the whole 100 miles - how do the people there manage? Passed through a couple of abandoned towns but then found a gas station with store at Vaughn so had a toilet stop and bought coffee and popcorn. Kept seeing school bus tops along the way but no sign of houses, they must have to get picked up at the end of real long drives from ranches ...

... and that the so-called aliens were in fact dummies that were used to analyse the effects on the human body of being exposed to high altitudes. Sounds plausible enough, right? It does seem strange, though, that many of the men and women involved in the incident talked about the extra-terrestrials on their death beds and their accounts seemed to be generally consistent.
