Took the bus from Guilin to Nanning, a five hour bus journey. The scenery was lovely and they provided us with water and a little brioche loaf for the journey. One toilet stop. Not another European on the bus, all Chinese! We managed to buy our bus tickets for the journey to Hanoi tomorrow and found the hotel by the bus station. No one speaks English. Just Passing Through
... out. The quickly approaching holiday was simply making any traveler within, into or out of this country extremely difficult. I was really hoping to get out of China on the 29th to meet some friends in Hanoi but, it didn't happen. I bought a ticket for the 30th.
