... Cheng Do took one and half hours each way and as we were sailing again at 2pm, there was not a lot of time on our hands. The visits were to two temples and to a shopping street / market (although the closest we got to the latter was a drive through the precinct).

Our tour guide said to call her Hayley as it sounded like her Chinese name. She was a 20 something Chinese lady who has a degree and Masters in Education and is in the ...

I think it's a recent development because it didn't say anything about that in my Lonely Planet guide. Today we as per usual, got up and pampered ourselves then headed to get breakfast once again, catching up with people we've met along the way. Quite a few people were going on the same tour as ours so there was lots of buses heading out. Today we are doing The Essence of Xiamem, which takes us to a temple, a beach Buddah ( and I don't mean us on the beach!!) then to a pedestrian shopping mall.
Our first stop was at the Temple and the first thing we had to do ...

Had a lazy day today staying around the Hotel Indigo. We walked down Zhongshan Lu and had lunch at Aijsen Ramen, one of our favourite Japanese restaurant chains. We then wandered back to the hotel and had afternoon tea sitting up in the restaurant area overlooking the harbour and Gulangyu Island, unfortunately not warm or nice enough to sit outside.
