... appeared to be training: take-off, flying in a circle, landing, take-off, flying-in a circle and landing again and again. They seemed almost like one plane at one point as they were flying so close together. I was worried that they'd crash!!!! We met a lovely older couple who had an RV and had been camping there for two weeks. They were from Atlanta and were sad to be leaving at the weekend. They were super-nice. ... and there is so much activity in the water. There were tow boats, barges moving or being loaded, pleasure boaters, cruise boats, fishermen and cargo ships. You had to be on your toes and on the radio a lot. Apparently Mobile is also a maintenance port for the Navy as we also saw several of huge war ships. One of them was quite bizarre in appearance.
