Wendy showed him the Chinese word for air conditioning in which he shook his head out… all the while he’s speaking rapid Chinese while holding up four fingers. We were all very confused. Eventually we worked out he was a teacher who lived on the fourth floor who just came up for a visit. Haha Our very little mandarin skills ...

really miss the city side of Beijing but the busyness was a nice change. As there
was no real reason for going to Weifang we really just had a quick look around
one of the big malls and then caught the bus home again. Once we pulled into
town though it started bucketing down with rain and of course none of brought
an umbrella with us. So running off the bus we were stuck for ideas ...
... home was quite painful with the sun being so hot, so once we got
back we had lunch and hung around in the apartment. As Christian and Katrin
live nearly 3 hours away (if traffics bad) we walked them to the bus stop soon
It was a good day even though it was a quiet one, Wendy
cooked us a really good dinner with a fresh salad which I didn’t realise I had
been missing until I ate it!! Going to Weifang city tomorrow. ...
Today was the first day we had to ourselves since coming to Xiashan buuuttt it was a million and one degrees outside so none of us wanted to do anything. Also we haven't registered with the police (Shhhhh!) so we couldn’t go into the city….
Instead I got up a bit early and went to the shopping centre on my bike. The ride was really good even though its only like five minutes away by bike haha all the cars that drove ...
