... We had a three room apartment ( two apartments with an adjoining doorway). The rooms were really spacious, and the furniture was very comfortable. It was quite western in style, except for the mattresses, which were very hard - but surprisingly comfortable. I new I'd always be a star, and today as we walked through China it became clear. I was born to be popular. We were walking around the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, sight seeing. We had just walked under a cool looking gate when a Chinese gangster, no I mean an ordinary man tapped me on the shoulder, put his arm around my neck and started choking, no he just put his arm around me and got a lady to take a photo of him and I.
