    Reunion in Boston

A travel blog entry by afletcher990 on Jun 07, 2015

Although Cindy was here for her college reunion, the reunion that the kids were interested in was meeting up with Mommy again! Having barely slept at all, the reunion I was interested in, was one with a bed! We got the taxi from the airport to the hotel and were here by about 8:30. Unfortunately, the hotel was sold out the night before, so there was no room for us. We left our luggage and went for breakfast at Whole Foods of all places. They have a breakfast buffet where you ...

... extra length to help keep me warm while here in Boston. Since we're going home tomorrow it's perfect. While I peel off my coat and sweatshirt the barber asks me something..I can't hear what. We talk about the crazy winter, Boston traffic, why we're visiting and twenty minutes later I'm ...

So not in the realm of anything I know. One smart cookie there for sure). Sorry, I digressed. So, anyhoo, after boarding and being handed ...

    Fenway Park and Freedom Trail

A travel blog entry by carmandy on Oct 20, 2014

Great day today. Did a tour of one of the oldest baseball parks in the US, Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Socks. They are very passionate about their team and this historic ground where the scoreboard is still operated manually by 3 men sitting behind it. Visited the locker rooms, bleachers, the media stands, the green "monstar" seats (which is a big green wall above the scoreboard where they have put 268 seats) and lastly the ...

... trained TVI, but also a self taught botanist/horticulturalist/flower arranger. Aside the space and facility she uses a number of in house tools and products that help students, like cutting jigs made to cut flowers, and lazy Susan's to help a blind young person flower arrange. The innovation is astounding yet absolute common sense. We sat in on an assistive technology lesson where 2 of the cutest young people I've ever seen, used ...
