Their serving style is a lot like Smitty’s BBQ in Lockhart in that you pick out your meat at the smoker and then go inside to select your sides and drink, pay, and then sit down on long picnic tables.     ... Later, we suffered through a poor showing of the Cowboys in their loss to the Eagles.

    Friday, we drove to Vickie and Jack's house outside DeLeon and were treated to a very tasty Thanksgiving meal - is there a trend here? We got to spend some time with them and Logan, their grandson. We got in their ATV and drove around their property to check out their deer feeders and cattle. Can't wait to see the pictures of the finished restoration of their Mustang!

    Welp it's 5am and we are off! Woke up to realize my(Shelby) wisdom teeth are coming in whoopee so we will be making a pit stop for some Orajel on the way. But at any rate we are headed that way very early, in fact we got to the donut store before the donuts were even made. There really should be some law about having to be up this early, ...

    ... as Ft. Hood. Well after dark we finally found a town with a hotel and decided that Comanche was the stop for the night.

    ps. Most of these entries are either made late at night or very quickly at a stop along the way. When I've had the opportunity to go back and read them I am appalled at the mistakes with auto correct and with my spelling. I've tried to make corrections but will miss many.
