Sue found a Frisbee, a bent cell phone and a softball, I found a baseball in surprisingly good condition.       After about 28 hours of traveling, I made it home. Saying goodbye to all my friends was difficult but I am lucky to have met all the great people I did.       ... oil country now! Black gold, Texas tea, etc. There's oil in them there hil...plains, I mean!

      Pic 7 - The Brown Fields: The first grain elevator I have seen in a long time. Also my first gas stop in Brownfield, Texas. Appropriately name cause this whole place looks like a brown field!

      Pic 8 - Co-op Gas Station: You know you just rode into a farming community if even the gas station is a coop. Serves as general store as well.

      ... as Ft. Hood. Well after dark we finally found a town with a hotel and decided that Comanche was the stop for the night.

      ps. Most of these entries are either made late at night or very quickly at a stop along the way. When I've had the opportunity to go back and read them I am appalled at the mistakes with auto correct and with my spelling. I've tried to make corrections but will miss many.
