We slept well and woke around 8am. The day was glorious and not too hot yet, so we grabbed some breakfast at Ricks (well Josh did, I had a banana - food of champions!) and head to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Spectacular scenery and a cool ride in a rotating aerial cable car. We did the Round Valley loop hike, about 5.5 miles and about 700 feet …

... workout and well worth the effort, the views were truly amazing, completely unique. Knowing we had a long drive ahead, we took off from Yosemite National Park after quick showers and make our way towards Las Vegas. The more we did now, the less we needed to do tomorrow. Once we had landed on the floor of the canyon we then took a pontoon boat cruise along the Colorado River between the canyon walls. ...

Set off this morning quite early from Three Rivers which is the other side of Sequoia National Park after staying in the cosy Comfort Inn heading towards Death Valley

We decided to visit the Red Rock Canyon on the way. It was interesting but not that red to be honest. Apparently it gets redder as the sun goes down but we didn't have time to hang around until then.

About 20 miles away was Randsburg - according to the info we had it was ...

... good Gyro. Super big too.

I had to snap a pic of the worlds largest thermometer while I was there in Baker. It's 134' tall. Like Farth said..."good photo op" for the blog. Ha! The pic shows it to be 35C....that's about 95F and damned hot. I guess we better start getting used to these temps as we head into the South later in the ...
