... on one of the rides that gave us a birds eye view of the place we discovered that most of the parking lot for the Boardwalk was taken up by dozens of yellow school busses and kids practicing for thier band preformences...Needless to say, we pickd one heck of a day to go. In any case, we still had fun and the weather was beautiful and sunny to boot.

The buses rolled out again at 7 a.m. the next morning for another 2.5 hr trip to the airport where we learned that the flights (Frankfurt-London-SFO) we booked by phone from the hotel were not in either UAL's or LH's computers so, once again, we had to scramble. ...

... have not been able to see a lot of this stuff because it really is necessary to have a car. It is really hard to find public transport outside of San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose. Claire and I both love the beach and although we live in a place that doesn't have nice weather or beaches, it is very nice to have free flights and be just a two hour flight from home. We will definitely be coming down here yearly.
