... the newly dedicated statue to Edgar Allen Poe. And my cold is finally over!! It is beautiful out, a bit cool but not bad. We parked at the Y and walked a couple of miles to find the statue and actually walked past it! Asked some students from the Emerson College and they didn’t even know who Poe was! They finally looked it up on their phones and thought it might be a block behind us, and it was, by the tobacco shop we had looked at and talked about. ...

There's no doubt that this trip will be one that stays with us and we are already trying to figure out when we can go back.

Couples of every persuasion stroll hand in hand. Lumberjack types walking labradoodles abound as well as chic Bostonians. Fab restaurants and shops everywhere.....what a great day! We scoff down a huge plate of deep fried seafood and later on sample perhaps the best ice ...

I was so excited about Whale watching! It had been the one thing which I had set out for myself to do before even arriving in Boston. When I had booked my ticket I made all the necessary arrangements, camera, warm layer, comfortable shoes, polarised glasses; all check! So can you imagine how upset I was when I woke up to a foggy, cold, misty day when I could see no further than 10 storeys of a skyscraper. I thought that maybe they might cancel or reschedule the trip as I'd ...
