... from Phil. I did some checking on the Inn bill and found a paid receipt for the $124 to hold the reservation, marked paid. Emailed them of the circumstances of out checkout, and Phil also called them and Bonnie was there to answer. With her in control all will be fixed, but it was very frustrating to have to deal with that after such a nice 3 day vacation. Eventually we headed out to eat but Italia was packed-every table and bar-stool! Sabatino’s was full too but did get two bar seats.

... leaving on my road trip, getting a background check started and sent to WI. Being that when I looked at the timetable in Boston for the consulate there were no appts until Sept or even Oct, I started freaking out and contacting every one that I could think of to figure out how I was going to do this. First stop was to see the memorial to the Irish immigrants who arrived in their tens of thousands during the exodus as a result of the potato famine.
It is a very well done group of bronze statues with 6-8 bronze plaques recounting the plight of the Irish arriving in Boston.
