We started out this morning at the Garden of the Gods. So impressive to see the huge rocks set against the blue sky's of Colorado. We went on roads that we couldn't go on with the RV and took lots of pictures. See attached Next we set off for Manitou where the Pikes Peak Cog Railway is. As we drove in the train was leaving in just a few minutes and we were able to get tickets. They weren't window seats but we could see out both sides of the train. Saw some Aspen just ...

Lori, the woman for whom we're building this house, told us her story, and an amazing story it is. Her daughter, most sadly and unfortunately, was murdered a couple years back, and she took in her daughter's children. They turned to Habitat for help and now here we are. Our van was driven by a nice young man referred to as Chainsaw. We had a fun ride with the staff cracking jokes and Chainsaw driving really really fast. Apparently he was in a hurry for us to start our adventure.

We arrived on site and had our lesson and most importantly learned how ...

... vibe up in Colorado that we liked. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Denver was our destination after a terrifying mountain highway in a massive storm. There were rivers of water runnning on the surface of the roads. We had pre booked a Motel 6 for 3 nights in Denver and we didnt really leave the motel. We were glad of the rest and the weather was really bad. Another city we just didnt see! woops.
After a restfull few days we headed out of the rockies into ...

... arrived at Cheyenne mountain Resort and checked in. The lobby was stunning. We are in room 360 of the Clear Creek Lodge building which sits at the bottom of the hill behind the main building. As we pulled into the parking area for our building we saw a whole bunch of deer…like 5 or 6 grazing behind the building and between here and the main lodge! I thought our wildlife experiences were over. Pleasant surprise! Apparently I ...
