... long to work it out, particularly as they had picked it up on the "man overboard" camera on the Carnival ship. It took the cruise line most of the day to work out how to cause the least disruption to the schedule, and the answer was to arrive in Noumea in the afternoon, and leave at 5.30, giving us just over 3 hours ashore instead of a whole day. This development didn't worry us too much, as we had been to Noumea twice before, and weren't over-impressed either ...

Finding Fiji too expensive turned out to be a travel miracle for it made us discover how beautiful these people are. There is too much to say about our time in Fiji; its been full of extremities, but what I hope resonates is the spiritual uprising we have felt. Indeed, love is all we need (... and a little cheese from time to time).
