Today's adventure was Crater Lake National Park in Crater Lake, OR. It was about a 2 hr. drive from our hotel. The sky was so blue and the weather was cool but lovely with a light jacket. There is a 33 mile rim drive around the lake with spectacular views at every stop. We only made it part way around but saw enough to appreciate the beauty. They estimate the lake was formed 7,700 years ago when 12,000 foot Mazama Mountain ...

... weeks. She said that since it gets so hot, and it causes a lot of deaths - clothes are optional in the state for those times that it is above 101 degrees. There is also a yearly "Wiggle til it Jiggles" contest for the non-clothed. So I'm hanging out for a few months here.....getting my "Wiggle & Jiggle" on the front page!!
