Pull out of travel arrangements we have made with Tyler's family as Michael says he needs to rest and does not want to drive. Breakfast is ham and cheese on toast with cherries,Apple and orange pieces accompanied by orange juice and herbal tea ( think I will choose coffee tomorrow) and finish with peach cobbler. ... Oakridge and saw where it was dammed for Hydro Power. Along the road we came upon a covered bridge which had been built in1945. It is no longer in use. The original had been built in 1907. Our hotel is near the Willamette River and tonight we walked along the riverside walk for a couple of miles to eat at Cameron's favourite American Italian Restaurant, The Olive Garden. Their breadsticks are wonderful we burnt off the calories on the walk ...

... something of a challenge as the road layout (I wasn't driving so this isn't an excuse) is quite confusing and doesn't really make sense at times. I'm hot and tired, probably getting sick, and not in the best of moods right now. Parenting got challenging again tonight. Details are unnecessary.
