... Boise was really busy. The curvy road we were on was crowded with rafters heading up-stream. We are adding "rafting trip" to our bucket list.

Today was mostly an inbetween day, as the stretch from Jackson to Moab is too far to do in one day. We drove through Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, where the rocks are incredibly red. The scenery changed pretty dramatically soon after leaving Jackson, and became rather Karoo-like. We could definitely tell we were heading for the desert.

We had slept for 14 hours and were feeling great! There was a fantastic view of the red sandstone mountains of Colorado out of our window and the sun had been up for ages. We had a superb breakfast of waffles, eggs, bacon, syrup and cream with loads of coffee and set out on the first proper day of our road trip. ... off..felt fresh hopped on me steed. Hmmm it was starting to get hot out.... n off I went.....I thin it was here that I decided to try to hit Rock Springs.

The ride was pretty nice, but I was getting stiff....and pulled onto town just in time I think...turns out The Sundance kid worked as a butcher here..... cool. the hotel had a bar....so grabbed some grub n some....o da Capn....staggered back to me room...and fell asleep sitting up.......

... expensive. Now we are just relaxing in a hotel that has a very huge pool,but no hot tube. The miles thats we've droven has been about 2,000 miles! And tommorrow we will add on to the miles. Going home tommorrow( maybe) but we will write tommorrow to you. Good night.
