    ... which is really handy. The one where we stopped was also an historic site along the Mormon trail to Utah. When we crossed the Mississippi River, we were in Illinois at Moline. In the next couple of hours we drove through Peoria and arrived in Normal. Tomorrow, Ruby, Jaimie, Jaimie's friend Krissy, and I are going to Chicago. Looking forward to ...

    After basketball, the middle cousins (Trevor and Connor) went off to sleep over at some friends' house, just as my Uncle Carl and Aunt Kris showed up with more Chinese food than any we could possibly have eaten.     ... to the top, after some discussion about the pod size and claustrophobia. Warning: the pods are quite small. The viewing area at the top was crowded with tourists, but we managed to get a nice view of downtown St. Louis and the river.

    We went on out way through Missouri and on up into Iowa. The countryside was lovely, with rolling hills and endless fields.
