... The girth is called a cinch here also. The weekend rolled around and Canadian guy Chad who met at the Dewberry chuck wagons asked us to come to Llyod and watch some baseball. Llyodminister is about 40 mins from home so Min and I were keen to get off the farm and do something new. I sat next to a lovely Canadian guy who gave me lots of information about the people, food, customs etc. (yes, they apparently do actually eat crispy bacon on waffles, covered with Maple Syrup, also Bison burgers, hopefully without Syrup) One disappointment though, he had never heard of Bear Grylls,.."What the?" The land full of Bears and they had never heard of this icon, ironic! ...

Today was a great day for Leduc. It started off with a parade at 10, then on to the Country Idol competition. I guess I should mention that it's also a Rodeo. I guess, really, it's a rodeo with a country music singing competition. I prefer to think it's the other way around. The parade was fun, with lots of horses and a few floats. Lots of candy being thrown so all the kids were happy. I was happy because Tim Horton's was throwing packs of ...
