... After dinner we went for drinks with Emily’s and Joey’s friends. As they have been together since high school, they have had largely the same group of friends for the past 8 years and they all came out to celebrate his birthday at a pub called The Common. It was nice to meet all these girls and guys and to see who Emily hangs out with when she’s not skyping with me ;) They were all very kind and interested in my stories and therefore it was great to see them ...

... recline. So I moved to a window seat, but didn't realize they put me in front of the exit row, so I still couldn't recline my seat. To top that off, I sat next to a lady who may have bathed in perfume that morning, so I probably would have been better off staying with the rest of the group at the back of the plane! Our flight left Edmonton about 9:30 AM ...

Today was a great day for Leduc. It started off with a parade at 10, then on to the Country Idol competition. I guess I should mention that it's also a Rodeo. I guess, really, it's a rodeo with a country music singing competition. I prefer to think it's the other way around. The parade was fun, with lots of horses and a few floats. Lots of candy being thrown so all the kids were happy. I was happy because Tim Horton's was throwing packs of ...
