As we approached Exit 18, I got butterflies in my stomach and my pulse began to race. Poughkeepsie was only about 20 minutes from the NY Thruway and I envisioned seeing my friends and reuniting with them, even if it was for only a few minutes. ... the Tappen Zee Bridge, Phil suddenly caught a view of the Manhattan skyline. New York City! We continued to Sloatsburg and Harriman State Park, turning in for the Seven Lake Drive. Just beyond the entrance we stopped at the Park lodge (closed) and a man shouted out to us "There's a bear out there!". He'd been for a run and met a huge bear, which had just looked at him then walked off. The poor guy was really shaken. We proceeded cautiously, Mark ...

... Hudson River, and even a nice skyline of Manhattan. We were lucky enough to catch another gorgeous sunset with great people and conversation. Our stay here so far has exceeded our expectations and we are overwhelmed with love, laughs, and comfort.

Sunday was my golden birthday (29 years of age on the 29th). We all took a trip to Sprain Ridge Park where Declan rode his trail bike with huge off road tires around the park, while we all hiked ...
