What a thrill this day on the water is going to be. We have never been to West Point on land, but today we are going to get to see it from the water on the Hudson River.

I don't have words to adequately describe how breathtaking the site of the facility was when we ...

Took route 95 west through increasingly industrialised scenery, past Bridgeport and Norwalk, before turning north towards White Plains and the Hudson River. Called in to a service station for fuel and breakfast. Mark and I opted for a McDonalds, bacon and egg McGriddle, which turned out to be in a sweet pancake roll and a bit ...

... and apps from a sports bar called PJ Carneys, a slice of NYC pizza from Rays, micro brews from Heartland Brewery, and some Mr. Softies food truck ice cream (I am kind of partial to Chicago deep dish, but for thin crust, New York has it down!). We (accidentally) stumbled through Time’s Square and saw a million electric billboards, street performers, artists drawing portraits and a ton of tourists from around the world. We continued moving toward our ...
