... had a very hard time getting started. And when I did finally begin to paint, my mind started to think of more and better ideas--but unfortunately, it was too late, since I had already started painting my teacup for Kelsey. But just that simple act of painting that cup got me thinking more creatively than I had in a while. Kelsey and I agreed ...
Bartonsville, PA, Pennsylvania, United States mikeandkelsey... I guess I'm just not used to seeing that anymore. You don't find a lot of overweight people in a country where over half the population is considered poor. Another observation is there are so many African Americans here. Ok, so I'm in Detroit. But still. You don't find a lot of people of African decent in Manila so I notice it more.
Back to reflecting on the last six months. Now that we've ...
So it's been a couple of days now since I've been back and I must say that now that I've rested and have had time to think about it; I had a really great time. It had been a long time since any of us had dove together (or even seen each other for that matter) and the time together will be remembered for a long time. Just hope I ...
Stanhope, New Jersey, United States rjdempFollow the zany adventures of five guys, a dog, and a truck load of dive gear as they make their way south from NJ cold down to Key Largo where they'll be staying for a week on a houseboat diving.
Hold on, Russ is in NJ? Now, I'm sure you saying "but I thought they were in the Philippines?", and you'd be right except we're ...
... be able to understand them.) Lo and behold, a nice lady with minimal accent walked me through the process and told me how to lie properly ( "just tell them your credit card name is xxxx") and viola! not only did the ticket go through, but in the 5 minutes she helped me purchase the ticket, the price DROPPED $270! This must be a sign.

I'm retired), a letter from the company who intends to employ you despite the fact that NOBODY will hire you sight unseen (a common application requirement is a "full body" photograph), an address in Thailand (see previous), an airline ticket providing proof of 'onward' ticket (despite the fact that it is almost impossible to get an ...
Lakeville Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, United States olsommerGramps lives in a cute little house on Culver Lake in NJ ~ cute as a button, both he and the place. I love the water & the town & the company, & it's one of the most comfortable places I've been. I'm looking forward to the next time we visit, when Gramps will make me an Old Fashioned in the evening while we sit overlooking the moon reflecting on the lake in the eve, and eggs over easy just the way I like em in the morn.
... before we left on our trip. Since we had not had time to "practice" with our RV and towing our Jeep, our first few days out were exciting learning experiences, such as burning out the front tires of the Jeep while in tow because we did not unlock the steering wheel! It did get better after that. We drove straight for 3 days before our first real stop. The Wisconsin Dells.
Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey, United States rbluks... I'm taking a big drop in take home pay. How will I ever afford medical insurance? It sure would be great if we got some national or even state health care soon. Hillary, help me! What will I do with my time? Please God, don't let me become a slug. Will Joe be able to manage the house and bills on his own? How will I finagle the income taxes? I have visions of Joe sending me a box of reciepts express mail. I may be insane for doing this, but something tells me it's time to take my ...
