... All we had to do was hold up a seed stick and one or two would land on our hands and start eating the seeds. Sometimes, the birds were not in a sharing mood and one would chase the other one off and have the seed stick to herself. Once the parakeets had cleaned off all the seed from the sticks, we headed to the other side of the exhibit where the American flamingos were standing in a shallow pool of water. We bought some bags of duck pellets to feed ...

      What a miserable place!
It's hot as hell, the water in the pool looks like someone poured milk into it, and there is nothing to do in the area.
This is our own fault. We completely spaced about the holiday weekend and this was the ONLY place we could find available anywhere near where we want to go next.

We have been on the road for about a month by this point and we have settled into a pretty good rhythm with camper living whilst keeping a pretty fast pace. We have done about 3000 miles so far with maybe 9 or 10 thousand to go over the next four months . Our routine is often spending 2 or 3 nights per week in an RV park or state park, 2 or 3 in a Walmart, and one or two random eg. carpark, country roads etc. in short it would be nice ...

... Sleep is highly overrated anyway, right?

By 6:30 we were headed out the door making our way to the bus located far across the other side of the resort. Our departure day is always a sad one for us. For those of you who have been here before and share our love for all things Disney....I know you understand what I am trying to convey here. We have now been to Walt Disney World eleven times and once to Disneyland, California. ...

It's good to be off the bus!

... I felt like having breakfast for dinner...my favourite thing to do when travelling long distances. It is comfort food to me. I had the country sampler platter which consisted of grits, biscuits with sausage country gravy, fried apples, eggs, country sausage, sugar cured ham, bacon, hash brown casserole and some hot and steamy coffee. I am content! The three of us ate for just over $26 not including ...
