We departed the port after a long yet comfortable ferry crossing from England. We didn't have far to go, but our first order of business was to set the car up for driving in Europe. We brought "Meg" our righthand drive Renault Megane over instead of using a rental. ... Isi wanted to wash our bedding and did put it outside for a short time and got it almost dry before the next downpour. The wind was that strong it was in danger of being blown off the line, the pillow slips looked like wind socks blown horizontal. We have been in Gouda during a thunder and lightning storm that lasted 5 hours nonstop but today just on and off rain with short breaks.

... at her place tonight, so we started making our way home. On the way we stopped to buy some wine, and saw some beautiful looking cherries, so bought a box of them too. They were from Spain, and the biggest, juiciest cherries ever. Ate quite a few before we arrived home.
We caught the tram to Melindas, the same line we got lost on last week! She said she tried to prepare Dutch things for us. First up we had salmon rolls with zucchini, pine nuts and a cheesy sauce as well ...
