28 April, Tuesday, Hudson, NH to Syrcuse, NY: We left home on this sunny morning, and our first stop was at the Yiddish Book Center in Amherst, MA. There we donated a box of my Bubbe Altke's Yiddish books and a picture done in Yiddish Calligraphy. We didn't have time for a tour of the Center, but will do that another time. ... Auntie Denise's house in Aurora. It was a beautiful drive and we arrived at sunset. There was still some snow on the ground and it was pretty cold. The house was so beautiful like a house in a home magazine and Denise had cooked us the most delicious dinner. Nick was there and Steve and we had a really lovely evening. After catching up with them we were pretty tired from our day travelling so we collapsed into the big comfy beds. Talk to you guys soon.- Grace.

... I saw a severed head of what might have been a pelican, but no body was found. A couple drunk ladies holding martinis strolled onto the island to watched the sunset. They tried to talked to us but it was incoherent, and I was glad they didn't stay long. Boaters started out at 5am, so we didn't get to sleep in much.
