    ... enjoyed a meal of Papa Javier's pinto beans & Uncle Diego's potato salad. As usual, the Beaty-Holguin clan treated us like royalty!     ... isnt that sometimes the way? This we did on Friday and agreed to the purchase. The sellers are a lovely couple who are on our email list for this blog. They took us to their bank and to the Titles Office.

    Next morning we wake up to the news of a tornado that had hit the small town about 45 minutes from Fort Worth. Luckily our lovely sellers and the motorhome were ok but some of the main part of the town was damaged.

    ... until the ceilings break. Looking at the en route forecast, it appears what's keeping us on the ground is really just a low, thin broken layer. Most locations to the northwest show scattered clouds at 4500' and 6500'. So, presuming we can get around the layer at 1000', we'll be on our way.     ... or overall care. We aren't too concerned because our main reason for stopping here was to visit our friends in Fort Worth and to do some sightseeing.

    After lunch the man opened the door to the office and I walked in. He seemed a little grumpy, but after a few minutes of conversation he warmed up a bit. I later realized that he wasn't really on duty until 1:00 so I guess that may be what the issue was.
