The death of my aunt (the most avid reader of these blog posts) caused the family to stop everything and focus first on her, and after her passing, on the memorial service and each other. Yet her death also reminds me that life is shorter than I think and I want to get more miles under my belt . The van needs no further miles. We are a bit over 172,000 miles on our 2009 Grand Caravan. ... missed our international connection. We were bummed, especially when we found out there was no room for us on flights until the next day and that even then our group would have to be split up for the next leg of the trip. After hours (5 to be exact) of debating with and talking to many employees we finally got set up with (thanks to the nursing school and NOT United...) hotel rooms for the night. Hungry and exhausted we shuttled ...

... I've ever tasted. Shannon agrees, saying that it was "squeezed from heaven!" (okay, she actually just said it was good, but she said it very fervently) and Ben comments that "everything was just really good."

Then we toured around Northwestern's campus for a little bit, which was boring for some (Jack) and fun for the rest of us. I love the campus so much, and it was great to look around and realize I'd be spending the next four ...
