    ... a maximum 80 km/hour zone. The officer kindly reduced our speed to 96 km/hour, when he wrote out a speeding ticket. If we didn't pay it, he added, no effort would be made to collect the money, but if we returned to the Ontario province within the next five years, the car would be taken away! We thanked him profusely for the information and went on.

    ... see as much as possible, and still enjoy it? I figure you make the most of it by taking the first step. That's all life is anyway. Thousands upon thousands of steps. Steps of fear, steps of courage, steps of ridiculousness sometimes. 'A JOURNEY OF A THOUSAND MILES MUST BEGIN WITH A SINGLE STEP' or so I've read. So cheers.     ... be just fine...", its obvious that they have not personally had this surgery themselves! My big events yesterday were taking a shower, watching a marathon of "Sex in the City", watching "Mrs. Doubtfire" (great movie to re-watch!), and sleeping my first six hour stretch!

    ... Louis barely exists. There is a casino and nothing else. Most people who could have moved out. Gangs and drug dealers roam the lawless, abandoned, non-paved streets. The authorities don't care. Trees were growing through the walls of buildings on the main drag. It is second only to Camden, New Jersey, on the list of places I do not want to stop.
