    Night 31: Back Home From Clive, IA, to Chicago, IL Today we logged our final 348 miles. The grand total for the trip was an amazing 7537 miles. Weather today was seasonable with temps in the low 80's and mostly sunny. The good weather for this trip was unprecedented, allowing for more camping than we've ever done and allowing for our longest trip ever. I'm writing this a day late.     ... Bob and I walked into the movie theater...the ONLY ones in the theater!...and I realized I didn't have my phone. Ok..now don't laugh...I ran back to the restroom and sure enough, my phone was...let's just say...floating as it had fallen out of my back pocket...yep, right there! So on top of no insurance for my surgery, now I had a FRIED PHONE! Just great!

    By the next day, we had insurance and approval for surgery AND a new phone! Life ...

    ... moment we made it to the spires of steel and metal.

    After arriving home, we tended to home business. I contracted with a builder to dig up my curse of hedges (that have turned into trees) and replace it with a nice 6 foot privacy fence.
