    Well by blog time its the 15th of Feb and we are back on dry land after our cruise. We are heading for North Port, Florida to visit our friends Larry and Pat Ric*******. After a pleasant trip down I-75 we had a little difficulty finding the entrance to Harbor Cove.     ... had all the streets closed off in Venice .The vehicles were all on display by their proud owners with over 200 on display . In the lineup on the streets were Camaros, Chevs , Monaros, Thunderbirds, Mustangs (muscle cars mainly)….many of them convertibles dating back to the 50’s, and a few ‘Al Capone’ style vehicles from the 1940’s.. A glorious sunny morning, with all various coloured paintworks shining brightly in the hot sun.

    ... on a canoe ride through the mangroves. The Everglades were gorgeous! We also got to see our first alligator on our way back from an 8 mile hike through theEverglades where we dodged poison oak for hours! It was gorgeous, but I have to say I have never wanted a hike to be over as much as I wanted out of that 8 mile loop trail!
